Professor Dr. Bernard Cambier, MD, PhD, is a recognized plastic surgeon and a member of the Belgian Society of Plastic Surgeons.
After graduating as a medical doctor, he completed four years of specialized training in General Surgery at the Middelheim Hospital in Antwerp.
He then further specialized in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery in the department of Professor G. Matton and Professor S. Monstrey at the University Hospital of Ghent (UZ Gent).
This three-year training program, each year concluded with an exam for the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum Belgicum, was completed with the highest distinction.
During this training, he was exposed to all aspects of plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. He developed expertise in treating severe trauma and burns requiring extensive reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, facial and neck tumors, breast reconstruction, and many other techniques in this complex field, including aesthetic surgery.
Moreover, Dr. Bernard Cambier obtained his PhD with the highest distinction during his training.
After his extensive education, he continues to attend numerous workshops, symposia, and international conferences to master the latest techniques in aesthetic surgery. In addition to various "classic" surgical techniques, he has recently developed into a leading specialist in laser surgery.
Professor Dr. Cambier is the head of the department of plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery at the General Hospital Sint-Blasius in Dendermonde.
He is senior lecturer at the faculty of Medicine in Kaunas where he teach Cosmetology.
